The Welsh Government commissioned us to deliver a fully integrated national awareness and behaviour-change campaign ahead of new legislation requiring all businesses, charities and public sector organisations in Wales to sort their waste for recycling from April 2024.

With 90% of the Welsh economy made up of SMEs – small, independent businesses at the heart of their communities – the challenge was engagement, not enforcement.

By tapping into Welsh national pride and positioning workplace recycling as the natural next step, the campaign combined ATL, TTL, digital and targeted outreach to educate and empower decision-makers across sectors, supported by real-world success stories.

A phased countdown approach and rallying call – Workplaces of Wales. Let’s get recycling sorted. – helped drive 80% awareness of the new law, alongside high levels of preparedness and support for compliance.
